Aletha’s Legacy was founded to give under privileged children in Liberia and Africa hope and a chance for a better education.
Through mission trips, the organization helps to change children’s lives for the better by improving their living, school, and health conditions. Past projects have included providing clothing, toys, books, and mattresses; constructing new roofs and installing window screens; and giving medical care. They are currently planning to renovate an entire school—it’s classrooms, library, restrooms, offices, and cafeteria.
Aletha’s Legacy was created by Liberia native Zhalman Harris to honor his mom, Aletha, who lost her life and their home due to the 14-year civil war that ravaged the country. To learn more about this 501(c)3 non-profit or how you can get involved, visit www.AlethasLegacy.org.
